Dr Bridget Barry, DVM
Dr. Barry grew up in a tiny town in Northeastern Washington called Kettle Falls. Her favorite activities growing up were catching lizards, toads, and snakes in the woods surrounding her house and keeping up with her mini zoo in her bedroom which included hamsters, gerbils, lizards, frogs, fish, and one very sweet hedgehog named Har-har. Dr. Barry always knew she would grow up to work with animals and had dreams of being everything from a pet shop owner to an orca trainer before settling on veterinarian.
She went to college and veterinary school at Washington State University and was very involved in her sorority, Sigma Kappa. After 10 years on the Palouse Dr. Barry relocated to Othello with her fiancé who teaches in the area as well. They have a zoo of their own that includes cats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a chinchilla, and many reptiles and amphibians. Her passion is exotic animal medicine and she loves to work on anything from mice to elephants (hopefully someday)!
